The 94th Annual Missouri Federation of Women's Democratic Clubs State Convention will be held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel & Convention Center in Jefferson City, Mo. Co-Chairs Marie Gladbach Dolan, Angela McQuinn, together with the 6th District, and I, are looking forward to seeing you in Jefferson City on June 5-7, 2026.

The past 404 days have seemed an eternity, a period of which my mother called "a mighty long time." One of the things that I learned in my life is that "if you stand nothing, you will fall for anything." What I have learned from all of you is that you stand for everything that is right in this world - you “Stand for Good.”

Now, more than ever, we must not be silent or wait quietly for things to improve. We must stand and show the world that good does triumph over evil. Who knew that 2026 would bring our country to a precipice? It was not on my Bingo card. I believed that our Constitution was strong and resilient and could withstand all onslaughts against it. I have watched as it has been ripped asunder, as one party has cast their lot with a madman intent on taking our most precious present and future into an abyss of darkness.

We must “Stand for Good” and shine our brightest lights, because truth dies in darkness and our truth - that our country was built for all of us and for the future generations - is good. Remember, when we stand together, nothing can tear us apart.
